**Here's what you'll be doing

The E.ON Industrial and Commercial (I&C) Pillar combines nPower Business Solutions (nBS) & E.ON B2B businesses to create a new £8billion revenue business serving c60,000 customers and around 300,000 meter points with a view to becoming the number one B2B energy supplier in the UK.

We have an exciting opportunity for a .NET Developer to join our team. For this role, you will be responsible for building, optimising and supporting effective digital solutions, software and applications. You will provide consultancy on the solution design, specification, development, build, functional and user testing, deployment, migration and warranty provision of I&C owned and managed digital solutions. This role offers the hybrid working approach, where you will be working in the office (Solihull) approximately 1 day per week.

Key responsibilities

  • Participate in requirements analysis/assessments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce solution designs based on agreed architecture.
  • Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages.
  • Test and deploy applications and systems.
  • Revise, update, refactor and debug code.
  • Improve and support existing software applications.
  • Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).

**What we need from you

  • Proven experience as a .NET Developer.
  • Experience with developing web applications and software within the Microsoft environment using ASP.NET MVC, C# and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience and knowledge of JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, CSS and Bootstrap.
  • Familiarity with creating REST APIs.
  • Experience and good understanding of Development/project methodologies.

It would be great if you had

  • Knowledge/experience of installing and configuring websites on IIS web server.
  • Knowledge/experience of Azure Cloud Services.
