The role of the Estimator - Aluminium Glazing Systems will involve:
- Estimator position producing estimates for a high end manufactured range of aluminium glazing systems such as: curtain walling, windows, doors, rooflights, fire rated glazing & structural glazing
- Review tender documents and produce high quality tender returns
- Utilise specialist estimating software to determine material costs
- Negotiate prices with supply chain and gather quotations for projects
- Liaise and build relationships with main contractor throughout the project and beyond
- Ensure that the internal CRM system is regularly updated
- Preparing handover documents for the contracts department, once a project has been secured
- Estimating for projects ranging in value from up to circa £8m
- Prioritise own work load to ensure deadlines are met
The ideal applicant will be an Estimator - Aluminium Glazing Systems experience with:
- Must have estimating experience within the aluminium market sector
- Must have experience using LogiKal
- Strong background dealing with architectural glazing, curtain walling, fire rated glazing & structural glazing
- Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings
- Must be IT literate (Microsoft Office)
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Proactive and motivated individual with strong commercial awareness
