Finance Assistant – Accounts & Compliance
Location: Hybrid (3 days a week in office)
Working Hours: Full time (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
Reports to: Financial Controller
We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our Accounts & Compliance team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a dynamic finance environment, reporting directly to the Financial Controller, with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Post sales and purchase invoices, and journals into Sage Line 50.
- Reconcile GBP and foreign currency bank accounts.
- Maintain accurate data for internal reporting.
- Set up and approve payments for customer trades.
- Manage aged creditor reports and process supplier payments as needed.
- Post journals from internal systems (Salesforce & FX Bos) for client trades.
- Reconcile profit reports against liquidity providers.
- Reconcile company credit and Amex cards.
- Ensure proper documentation is obtained from departments to support spending.
- Update cash flow on a weekly basis.
- Process and post accruals and prepayments.
- General administrative tasks (filing and scanning).
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proficient in Sage Line 50.
- Confident in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Familiar with Salesforce CRM.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Trustworthy and comfortable handling banking and financial transactions.
- Able to manage and prioritise workload effectively.
- Experience in preparing financial accounts.
