My client is currently seeking a Senior Audit Manager for their Letchworth office. This is an exciting opportunity to join a talented team within a growing department, delivering exceptional external audit services to a range of clients in the SME sector.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Audit Manager, you'll work closely with the Head of Audit to manage and run the department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality audits for clients in the SME sector. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the team in delivering on-site audit work.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, becoming their go-to advisor for audit needs, and managing both client expectations and internal teams.
  • Playing a key role in the development and mentorship of the audit team, serving as a role model.
  • Conducting file reviews across a diverse client portfolio, applying your technical knowledge while continuing to develop your own skills.
  • Ensuring that quality standards are consistently met within the department.
  • Identifying and delivering value-added services to clients, helping them achieve their goals.
  • Contributing to the growth of the department by winning new work and converting leads into business.

Experience & Skills:

  • Senior manager experience in a medium-sized practice working with SMEs.
  • ACA or ACCA qualification.
  • Strong technical knowledge, including UK GAAP, FRS102, IFRS, and ISAs.
  • RI qualification, or the ability to achieve RI status within 12 months.
  • A passion for building and nurturing client relationships.
  • Tech-savviness, with knowledge of CCH being a plus.
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to manage tasks of all sizes.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiasm for becoming immersed in the company culture and contributing to the business's success.
