We are seeking a reliable and experienced School Caretaker to join a great Middlesbrough school.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that the school premises are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Opening and Closing: You will be responsible for opening and closing the school buildings, ensuring security and safety protocols are followed.
Maintenance Tasks: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including minor repairs and upkeep of facilities.
Grounds Maintenance: Keep the school grounds tidy, free from litter, and well-maintained.
Emergency Response: Be available for emergency call-outs, addressing urgent issues promptly.
Liaison with Contractors: Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for repairs and maintenance.
Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:Previous Experience: Prior experience in a similar role is desirable.
Communication Skills: Good communication skills are essential for liaising with staff, students, and external parties.
Proactive Approach: A proactive problem-solving attitude is crucial.
Health and Safety: Understanding of health and safety regulations.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours.
DBS Check: A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Reliability: Punctuality and reliability are essential.
