The role
The role of Assistant Buyer will be to assist the organisation with wide ranging procurement responsibilities. Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Supplier Management: Source and select suppliers, ensuring alignment with company standards.
- Purchase Order Management: Generate and process purchase orders with precision and efficiency.
- Supplier Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor supplier performance, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly to maintain optimal relationships.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock records using ERP systems.
- Stock Accuracy: Conduct regular cycle counts to verify stock accuracy and adjust records as necessary.
- Internal Supply Support: Facilitate internal supply processes by raising and booking works orders effectively.
To be chosen for the role you must possess the following skills/experience:
- Experience in a purchasing environment
- Be methodical and organised
- Have strong IT skills
- Ability to collaborate and work in teams actively
The package on offer
- £26,000 - £29,000 + monthly bonus
- Monday to Friday with an early finish on Friday
- 33 days leave inclusive of bank holiday
