SEMH Teaching Assistant - Bury - September

Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant with experience supporting students who can display challenging behaviour or with SEMH needs to join a team in an alternative provision in Bury.

About the school

The school caters for excluded students who are in key stage 3 and 4 and work on their education to hopefully engage them back into mainstream education. The children have social emotional and mental health needs and this can include periods of challenging behaviour, which can be physically and verbally and some may also have complex medical needs & have an EHCP.

This role is full time, Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4 pm. The school is looking to begin this role in September ASAP, and will continue for the whole of the current academic year.

The successful candidate will be able to support children on a 1:1 basis or small groups. Previous experience as a TA or support work is required, as well as an up to date DBS (if you do not have this, it can be obtained through Prospero Teaching). You should also provide two professional references.
