OFFICE-BASED
assistant accountant is required for Hunters' client, an established and flexible growth mode manufacturing company. The assistant accountant looks after basic book keeping, sales ledger and credit control, with some elements of following up on quotations. Transport routes are easy, and free car parking is available. The successful candidate will report to the office supervisor and work within a small team in an open plan office. There is opportunity for growth within the role.
Monday to Friday 08.30 – 5.00, with half an hour for lunch

- Credit control
- Input suppliers' invoices and credit notes into the system, ensuring they are coded correctly with Nominal Ledger
- Processing high volume of purchase orders where necessary
- Assisting with management accounts
- Check accuracy, the VAT element of supplier invoices and ensure that this is entered on to the system correctly
- Prepare monthly supplier payment runs for Financial Accountant to process
- Check aged creditors, report monthly and reconcile to the Purchase Ledger
- Check supplier statements against the Purchase Ledger balances
- Invoicing and reconcile Debtors Control
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- You will be trained in the use of the company database
