Account Executive - Public Sector

  • Annual Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 depending on experience (Plus Bonus)
  • Location: Northampton NN4
  • Job Type: Hybrid (3 days in-office / up to 2 days remote if required)

We are seeking an Account Executive to join our Public Sector team. The role involves a mix of new business development and account management, with a focus on achieving sales targets and expanding our customer base. The ideal candidate will be proactive, self-motivated, and have a strong understanding of technology developments relevant to the public sector.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Achieve or exceed sales targets through new business development and account growth.
  • Proactively identify sales opportunities and understand customer requirements.
  • Win new business with the support of the Public Sector bid team.
  • Grow and develop the existing account base.
  • Collaborate with the pre-sales team to lead our messaging and offerings with customers.
  • Manage relationships with customers, suppliers, and distributors effectively.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline.
  • Stay informed about technology developments and discuss these with public sector customers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated and hardworking with a minimum of good GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths, and ideally good A-Levels.
  • Extremely efficient, well-organised, and detail-oriented.
  • Positive attitude, upbeat, and helpful persona.
  • Ability to take direction, use initiative, and be enthusiastic and self-motivated.
  • Team player with a ‘can do' attitude.
  • Knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel is useful but not essential.
