Business Support Analyst

We are seeking a Sales Administrator to provide comprehensive administrative support to our sales team, helping us achieve our financial targets and goals. This role is integral to the creation of sales and margin reports, customer price lists, and the administration of online buying portals, among other tasks. The successful candidate will be a key player in identifying new processes to maximise sales and margin opportunities and will work collaboratively with various departments to enhance the sales process and customer experience.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Provide administrative support to Business Development Managers and the Internal Sales team, handling customer enquiries efficiently.
  • Generate price files and reports using IT and CRM systems, capturing key sales data.
  • Monitor and analyse sales metrics, identifying trends and patterns to support sales and margin increases.
  • Communicate with customers regarding price changes, product delists, and specification changes.
  • Manage special and banded pricing on IT Systems, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.
  • Liaise with the purchasing team to manage contracted lines, stock availability, and short-dated products.
  • Maintain customer buying portals, keeping them current and accurate.
  • Support the sales team in identifying new customer opportunities, preparing pricing proposals, contracts, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with the sample administrator to provide customer support as directed by the sales team.
  • Identify and implement improvements to administrative reporting and processes to support continued sales growth.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to analyse sales data and identify trends and opportunities.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills, confident telephone manner, and effective time management.
  • Well-organised, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritise workloads and deadlines.
  • Ability to foster a positive team culture and support company values.
  • Capable of building excellent relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Excellent written, oral, and listening skills, with confident issue resolution abilities.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to role development and business support.
