I am currently taking applications for Learning Support Assistant to start with us at the new Nido Volans Campus in West Norwood in September 2024. This Learning Support Assistant position would require you to support 18-15 year old with their vocational work progression. There are some complex needs students that require extra personal care and assistance. This is a brand-new state of the art campus and are looking to continue developments across the board. We want you as a Learning Support Assistant to showcase your dedicated nurturing personality to work with SEND pupils.

Whilst working as a Remedy Learning Support Assistant, your main responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-on-one support: Working closely with students to provide individualised assistance, ensuring they have the necessary support to reach their full potential.
- Assisting with classroom activities: Collaborating with teachers to create an inclusive learning environment, adapting materials and activities to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Promoting independence: Encouraging and supporting students to develop independence and confidence in their academic and social skills.
- Monitoring and reporting: Keeping track of student progress and behaviour and providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
- Supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND): Utilising your experience with SEND to provide tailored assistance and accommodations as needed.
The most promising candidates will be those with experience working in SEN at secondary or FE level, relevant training in caring, education, medication. We are expecting the next cohort of students to have moderate SEN and are therefore only seeking experienced LSA's on this occasion.
