Internal Sales Consultant Permanent up to £25,000 – £29,500 Stoke on Trent

My client is a well-established and widely recognised global manufacturer of innovative specialist products. They are committed to providing exceptional products & services and building long-term relationships with their customers. Due to business demands and continued growth they are seeking an eager, diligent Internal Sales Consultant to join their sales team.

The Internal Sales Consultant will be reporting directly to the UK Sales Manager and will

be responsible for managing customer inquiries, providing technical assistance, and facilitating the sales process of their leading products.
This role involves direct communication with clients, preparing quotations, processing orders, and offering support to the external sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement: Handle inbound sales inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products, specifications, pricing, and availability.
  • Quotations & Proposals: Prepare detailed & accurate quotations based on client requirements, including custom designs, materials, & installation needs.
  • Order Processing: Work closely with the admin team to ensure all customer details, measurements, and specifications are accurately captured for the order.
  • Technical Support: Offer basic technical advice regarding product installations, compliance with safety standards, and material choices to customers.
  • Sales Coordination: Collaborate with the external sales team to ensure seamless communication between internal and external processes, ensuring client expectations are met.
  • Follow-ups: Monitor ongoing projects and orders, ensuring deadlines are met and keeping clients updated on the status of their orders.
  • After-Sales Support: Provide after-sales service, addressing any customer concerns and ensuring satisfaction with the products supplied.
  • Training: Partake in product and industry training, both UK and overseas at their European headquarters.

In order to be successful in this role:

  • Proven experience in a sales role, ideally within the construction or similar industry.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings or architectural plans is a plus.
  • Customer-focused attitude with the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
  • Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
