If you have just graduated or looking to further your career development and want to make some money while doing a job that is incredibly rewarding and worthwhile, consider becoming a SEN Teaching assistant in a school. We are recruiting for a number of different teaching assistant roles in and around Taunton. We offer both part and full time roles, with working hours 8:30am - 3:30pm. This is a fantastic opportunity if you have experience working with children and have worked in a primary or secondary school, supporting students with SEN.

What the school is looking for:

As a teaching assistant you need to be adaptable, personable and have a hands on approach. You need to demonstrate that you have a caring and empathetic nature. We are not just looking for someone who has experience, but someone who has a genuine passion for working with children and isn't afraid to get stuck in!

The Role

  • Making sure all resources the children may need are available
  • Supporting learning in the classroom, 1:1 and small groups
  • Ensuring the students uphold the school behaviour policies and values
  • Aiding the children with pastoral care
