Interim Financial Controller
Location: Wolverhampton
Day Rate: £400-£500 per day
Duration: 3-6 month contract

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller for a 3-6 month contract. As the Financial Controller, you will oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as maintaining internal control policies and procedures. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and transparency of financial information, providing strategic guidance to senior management, and maintaining compliance with all UK regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting in compliance with UK standards
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Manage and comply with local, regional, and national government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Additional controller duties as necessary
Requirements:
- Proven working experience as a Financial Controller, ideally with a track record of successful interim assignments
- 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification
- Experienced Manager/Mentor
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to handle complex data
