Salary on offer and hybrid working:
The salary on offer for the successful
Embedded Software Engineer is £40,000 - £65,000
per annum. 3 days working onsite and 2 days WFH is available. If you prefer to be working 5 days a week onsite, that is fine to do so.
The role:
This is an exciting role because the ideal
Embedded Software Engineer
will have a strong background in
Embedded Software Programming in C and FPGA VHDL development, for embedded systems
- The Embedded Software Engineering role will include designing, developing, testing, and maintaining embedded software for our the company's high end technology based engineering products. This role occupies teamwork with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions.
Embedded Software Engineer Key Skills:
- 3-5+ minimum industry experience
- Embedded Software Programming in C
- Experience with VHDL for hardware description and FPGA development
- Knowledge of both analogue and digital hardware
- Experience of real time embedded systems, NIOS II softcore processor, DSP algorithms and techniques.
- Compilers – GNU Complier Collection, ARM Compiler, IAR Embedded Workbench
- Debuggers – GNU Debugger, JTAG, J-Link, TRACE32
- IDE's – Eclipse, Keil µVision, Visual Studio, MPLAB X
- Experience with application-level programming languages such as Python, Visual C, Rust etc.
- Good teamwork and communication skills
Benefits Package:
- Normal holiday entitlement is 26 days plus bank holidays a year: including office closure days over the Christmas period.
- Pension in the current scheme equates to an 8% contribution (3% from the employer and 5% from the employee).
- Discretionary bonus scheme – 5% of salary.
Following the probationary period, we provide:
- Income Protection – this will provide 75% of your salary (after a 13-week deferred period) should you ever have a long-term illness.
- Life Assurance – a lump sum of 4 x your salary.
- Normal hours of work will equate to 37.5 hours per week. The Company operates flexitime with core hours between 9.00 am and 3.45 pm (3.00 pm on Fridays).
