Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Maths Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching mathematics to students with SEN and a strong understanding of their unique educational needs. While teaching qualifications are not mandatory, a proven track record in delivering effective learning experiences to SEN students is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of SEN students.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued and motivated to learn.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Assess students' progress regularly and adapt teaching methods accordingly to ensure continuous improvement.
- Collaborate effectively with other members of the SEN team, parents, and external professionals to support students' holistic development.
- Maintain accurate records of students' achievements, progress, and behavior in line with school policies.
Requirements:
- Driving license
- Proven experience teaching mathematics to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is essential.
- A genuine passion for working with SEN students and a commitment to their academic and personal development.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Adaptability and creativity in developing tailored learning experiences for students with varying abilities.
- Understanding of SEN practices, strategies, and legislative requirements in education.
Desirable Skills:
- Teaching qualifications (QTS or equivalent) would be advantageous but not essential.
- Experience supporting SEN students in their learning is essential.
