The Opportunity

QBE Europe is currently recruiting a Data Governance Specialist to join a well-established Data Centre of Excellence team in our London Office. In this position you'll be responsible for developing and providing high quality Data Governance capabilities across QBE.

Your new role

Reporting to the Data Governance Manager, you'll assist them with developing a clear vision, plan and structure for the team to maximize the benefits of Data Governance for QBE European Operations.

Other responsibilities:

  • Lead the rollout of Collibra as the Data Governance tool and provide the organisation with a comprehensive knowledge base.
  • Develop content of Collibra by working with Business and Technical stakeholders, rollout usage and training to users and develop training content, work with the technical team to implement technical integrations with database and reporting tools.
  • Roll out Data Governance Framework across the business, working with project teams to ensure activities are being implemented.
  • Be an advocate for Data Governance and promote data management best practices consistently across the organisation by educating business stakeholders on the value of Data Governance.
  • Develop and maintain data governance processes and documents.

About you

  • Experience using Collibra, such as defining community and domain structure, defining characteristics and asset types, assigning responsibilities and defining workflow requirements.
  • Experience in rolling out Data Governance frameworks across business and technology stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder management and prioritisation skills
  • Experience writing policy, framework or standard documents
