Job Type/Shift Patterns: Full-time, Monday to Friday, either 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm, totalling 37.5 working hours per week. (This role offers Hybrid flexibility of 1 Day Work from Office and rest Days Work from Home)

Pay Rate: £19.10/Hr.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Summary:

The post holder will undertake the role of an Information Developer for Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence systems. The post holder will be set work packages which will include full scoping of the work, agreeing a specification, development, testing, documenting, and implementation to agreed standards and customer sign off.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop effective working relationships and strong links with the other teams within Information Services to ensure an efficient, effective and value-added service and to ensure smooth handover to the customer once signed off as being complete.
  • Automate and streamline the current data and reporting processes i.e Payment by Results (PbR) and 18 Weeks Referral to Treatment (RTT) to enable the teams to be more efficient and responsive to customer requirements.
  • Work with the IT Development team on data loading processes and data storage processes.
  • Work with all the Information teams to develop automated data cleansing processes and business rules to ensure all current and future business information reported, and all datasets that are submitted, are of optimum data quality to ensure the Trust has robust information for informing key decision making and performance monitoring.
  • Querying Microsoft SQL Databases.
  • Awareness of data collection and data management procedures and patient administration procedures.
  • Ability to exercise judgement and provide advice in the regular design and development of a range of information systems (databases, spreadsheets) required to produce reports.
  • Complex data analysis and interpretation, reporting complex, sensitive and on occasions contentious information to Managers, Clinicians, and other staff groups.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in relevant discipline plus post graduate diploma or equivalent experience in a software or information development role.
  • Advanced numeracy skills and intermediate statistical techniques.
  • Good understanding of the effects of poor data quality on patient experience and other Trust and national agendas.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Data Engineer / Business Intelligence / Data Analyst / Software Developer role.
  • Must-have experience of querying Microsoft SQL Databases.
  • Must have experience of supporting and maintaining ETL processes.
  • Pulling data from varying sources and putting into the Datawarehouse.
  • Experience of building SSAS Analysis Services Cubes is desired.
  • Power-BI Experience desired.
  • Experience in implementing successful changes to enhance business information management and reporting.

This role may require you to show evidence Diploma or ECDL or at least 2 years relevant experience.
