The primary purpose of this role is new business fundraising - raising money from trusts, foundations and statutory sources which haven't previously supported by the organisation.

Salary: £44,700-47,000
Contract: 1 Year FTC (Maternity Cover), Full-time
Location: Central London (Hybrid- 2 days in London Office)

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a portfolio of cold funders - from prospect research to planning, cultivation and proposal writing. Secure income from trust funders, prioritising new funders and the biggest opportunities (£100k+).
- Manage a small portfolio of existing trust and statutory partnerships. Achieve excellent donor relationships through a donor-centred philosophy and systematic planning.
- Regularly monitor income from own portfolio and targets, ensuring monthly reforecasting is accurate; contribute to budget setting for the team and manage risk for your partnerships.
- Support the Head of Trusts & Statutory to work with the Research, Programmes & Impact Directorate to develop a diversified offer of innovative and evidence based proposals for the P&P team.Lead Statutory and Institutional business development through a clear strategy and robust pipeline.
- Scan the external market to spot opportunities for income growth and development, with a particular focus on statutory and institutional fundraising.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience securing high value gifts (£75k+) from cold trusts and/or statutory sources. Including experience of pursuing cold trusts from beginning to end (e.g. from identifying a new trust to securing a first gift).
- Experience developing and managing complex relationships with trust/statutory partners at the five- and six-figure level.
- Experience developing complex, multi-year grant applications.
