About the firm & role:
Legal 500 multi office long standing firm, who's offices are in central Birmingham and further desirable locations around the greater Birmingham area.
Having a professional and welcoming work environment is core pillar to what has made them so successful and now they are wanting to ensure the security of the firm from a compliance and regulatory perspective by adding a dedicated Compliance Manager to the already strong internal HR and Management team.
Ideally we would like you to be in a Managerial Compliance role and be aware of following and adhering to strict SRA, FCA or other parrel authorities, with success of implementing your new policies across the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full spectrum of compliance activities across the firm.
- Work directly with Partners & HR Managers on compliance and risk management initiatives.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments.
- Provide training and support to staff on compliance matters.
- Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
- Liaise with external regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a compliance role within a law firm or professional services environment is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of legal compliance frameworks and risk management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
