MFL Teacher (Spanish)

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated MFL Teacher specialising in Spanish to join a highly regarded secondary school in Wellingborough from September 2024. This full-time role offers a dynamic work environment and the opportunity to inspire young minds in learning a new language.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging Spanish lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, ensuring high levels of student interest and participation.
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans and schemes of work in line with curriculum requirements.
- Undertake marking and provide constructive feedback to facilitate student progress.
- Collaborate with the MFL department to enhance the language curriculum and share best practices.
- Offer a second language subject, if possible, to broaden the scope of language education.
- Participate in parent evenings, staff meetings, training sessions, and contribute to the school's extracurricular activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proficiency in teaching Spanish, with the ability to teach French as a second language being advantageous.
- Experience in lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom management.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Willingness to engage in continuous professional development and school-wide initiatives.
