Science SEN Teacher
We are seeking a science teacher to join a specialist SEN school, dedicated to supporting pupils with behavioural, emotional, learning, and social communication difficulties. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and qualified instructor with a passion for motivating pupils towards high achievement.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Delivering engaging maths lessons to pupils with special educational needs and ensuring that each pupil's learning needs are met.
- Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that caters to pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs.
- Developing individualised learning plans and setting achievable targets for pupils.
- Collaborating with other teaching staff and SEN specialists to enhance educational programs.
- Utilising innovative teaching methods and educational technology to stimulate learning.
- Monitoring and assessing pupils' progress, providing feedback and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience in teaching science within an SEN setting is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by pupils with SEMH.
- Proven ability to motivate and inspire pupils to achieve their full potential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in SEN education.
