A rapidly expanding FMCG business based in Leeds with hybrid working options are looking for a Demand Planner to join their team on an initial 3-6 month contract with a very strong likelihood of it going permanent. As Demand Planner you will be a part of a newly developed demand planning function and work collaboratively with the markets to ensure a robust forecast is submitted in line with the S&OP process.
You will ensure an accurate demand signal is passed to procurement to drive excellent availability whilst maintaining optimum inventory levels.
About the role:
- Own the demand plan for your given areas by applying key account data and adjustments in alignment with commercial needs
- Place enhanced focus on new product/ key product initiatives; align and coordinate core carryover seasonal items with retailers, core planning and supply teams
- Interpret changes in buying process into product investment - both increases and decreases to optimise balance of inventory in support of corporate revenue and turn goals
- Complete monthly OTB forecasts and influence inventory policy decisions at channel level
- Propose seasonal and in -season stocking strategies to commercial leads to balance margin / revenue generation with optimal working capital levels
About the person
- Available for an imminent start
- Previous experience working in a demand or supply planning role but other areas such as commercial analysis and merchandising would be considered
- Analytical mindset with excellent communication skills
- Experience using Power BI would be advantageous
- Strong Excel skills
