Salary: £45,000 - £51,000
Are you an experienced and inspirational Geography educator looking for a leadership role? We are an Ofsted rated 'Good' all girls school in Hounslow, seeking a dynamic Head of Geography to lead our department and inspire students starting from September.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Geography department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across all year groups.
- Deliver engaging and effective Geography lessons to students across various age groups.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Geography curriculum that stimulates interest and enhances student understanding of geographical concepts and issues.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Organize and oversee extracurricular geography activities, including field trips and geography clubs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- A degree in Geography or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Geography at secondary school level and leading a department is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
