We are seeking 2 experienced Accounts Controllers to join the finance team of a dynamic and growing organisation that is part of a global network of donor registries. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in finance, with a strong background in handling VAT, staff expense claims, posting invoices, setting up payments, and general finance duties. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, organised, and has a passion for numbers. The role is an initial 6-month FTC with potential to be made permanent should performance expectations and team fit be aligned.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Oversee processing of transactions, including bank transactions in multiple currencies, purchase and sales invoices, petty cash, and expense claims.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT regulations, including preparation and submissions of quarterly returns.
  • Process reimbursement claims for donors, staff, and volunteers.
  • Communicate effectively with external parties and internally with colleagues within the department and international teams.
  • Handle credit control responsibilities and prepare/validate supplier payments.
  • Process daily transactions at month end and cover Finance Assistant's responsibilities during absence.
  • Participate in projects, prepare SOPs, and undertake other assignments delegated by the Head of Finance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A-Level education or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with SAP accounting software or similar ERP systems (e.g., SAGE 200, JD Edwards).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • 3-4 years' experience in a busy finance department.
  • Good understanding of accounting and VAT processes, procedures, and regulations.
  • Independent worker with initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
  • Well-organised with strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Excellent multitasking ability and resilience under pressure.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and collaborative working.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage with others with enthusiasm, sensitivity, respect, and humour.
