Legal Cashier Opportunity, Birkenhead
We are recruiting on behalf of our esteemed client for a key role of Legal Cashier within their Treasury team. This position is integral to handling daily transactions and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. As a vital member of the Treasury team, you will be responsible for executing daily banking functions, maintaining accounts, and adhering to the Solicitors Accounts Rules.

Responsibilities
- Conduct daily banking activities, including bank reconciliation.
- Oversee cheque runs and other treasury reports, including client-to-office accounting transactions.
- Assist in month-end closing procedures.
- Manage both automated and manual payment processes via BACS.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports.
- Address inquiries from fee earners and other staff members.
- Support the Finance help desk mailbox.
- Ensure a thorough understanding and application of SRA rules, including recording and monitoring any breaches.
- Required Experience and Skills
Requirements
- AAT qualified would be beneficial but not essential.
- Proven experience in a finance team managing high transaction volumes.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Capability to work independently within defined boundaries.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and numerical skills.
- Keen attention to detail and effectiveness in collaborating with colleagues across various levels.
- Proficient computer skills with a solid grasp of Excel.
