Gleeson Recruitment Group are please to exclusively working with a leading corporate enterprise based in Tamworth, in search for a Head of Group Reporting. This role is a pivotal role within the business, designed to oversee, design and implement the reporting and control framework for the business. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing a small team and tasked with relationship building across other divisions. This is an exciting role with a clear progression path for the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

As Head of Group Reporting you will be responsible for the following:

  • Oversee and manage the group reporting function, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Consolidate financial statements and reports for the entire group, providing insightful analysis and commentary.
  • Lead the preparation of annual and interim financial statements, working closely with external auditors.
  • Develop and implement robust financial reporting processes and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with senior management and other departments to support strategic decision-making through financial insights.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Mentor and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Key Requirements

As Head of Group Reporting you will be expected to have the following:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Proven experience in a senior financial reporting role, preferably within a large corporate environment.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and thorough knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Degree in accountancy, business, economics or related field.
