Job Description:
Our client, a reputable company based in Thetford, is seeking a skilled and experienced Service Engineer with a strong background in both electrical and mechanical engineering. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of compressed air systems and be adept at performing maintenance tasks, handling urgent breakdowns, and implementing new equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Diagnose and repair faults in compressed air systems, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Respond promptly to urgent breakdowns, providing effective and efficient solutions.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure the longevity and reliability of systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all service and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Service Engineer or in a similar role within electrical and mechanical engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of compressed air systems.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving license.
- Relevant engineering qualifications or certifications.
