Our client on the outskirts of Cardiff; a world-class scientific facility, are looking for an experienced Petrochemical Analyst to join them on a permanent basis.
Our client are seeking an experienced Lab professional with strong experience of working in a commercial petrochemical environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analysis results and report findings and appropriate scientific and technical advice.
- Undertake investigative analysis to provide adequate evidential support.
- Support the development of analytical methods and provide an assessment of their suitability for use in the Lab.
- Participate in a range of trials, surveys, performance assessment, and routine work.
- Advise on relevant analytical, equipment and systems developments.
- Undertake delegated administrative duties.
- Sample preparation and analytical work on a whole range of sample types including private client samples and those likely to result in legal proceedings.
- Produce analytical results and enter into the LIMS for reporting.
Skills & Attributes:
- Qualified with a HND/BSc (or equivalent) in chemistry or related subject.
- 4+ years practical experience in a commercial petrochemical lab.
- Experience in routine testing & investigative analysis on various petrochemical products.
- Technical and practical knowledge in petroleum laboratory techniques such as Pensky Marten close cup flash point, Abel flash point, sulphur content, cloud point, pour point, viscosity, sediment tests, density (Hydrometer & Densitometer), etc.
