Sustainability Lead - Part Time (2 days per week)

ESCP Business School is seeking a dynamic Sustainability Lead to join our London Campus in vibrant Northwest London.

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing sustainability strategies and activities to ensure the School meets its sustainability goals. The job holder will collaborate closely with senior management, various departments at the London Campus, and our sister campuses to champion sustainable practices and foster awareness through effective internal and external communications and events. Knowledge Skills and Experience

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a sustainability role.
  • An excellent understanding of sustainability issues, including environmental, societal and governance.
  • Project management and administration skills.
  • Experience in managing projects involving multiple stakeholders from start to finish.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence staff at all levels within an organisation.
  • A degree which covers elements of environmental sustainability.
  • Passion for environmental management, sustainability and social impact.

Desirable Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in a sustainability role.
  • Bachelor's and/or Masters degree in environmental or sustainability discipline.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on sustainability projects, including compiling carbon footprint data and reporting for the London campus.
  • Represent the campus at sustainability committee meetings and external partnerships.
  • Develop and implement sustainable policies for travel, catering, and events on campus.
  • Organise and lead the Social Impact and Sustainability Committee meetings, tracking action items and outcomes.
  • Create promotional content and reports for the board, senior management, and broader audiences.
  • Support strategic sustainability communications, working with both UK and international teams.
  • Produce and publish engaging content, including blogs, digital stories, and opinion pieces.
  • Coordinate with marketing to highlight sustainability achievements and promote events.
  • Foster partnerships with external organisations and apply for programmes supporting Net Zero initiatives.
  • Engage with students and staff to support and develop sustainability-focused initiatives and events.
