Placement Officer
Duration: 6 months initially
Rate: £21 umbrella an hour
Bromley Council are looking for a Placement Officer to join their team. This role is based in co-located offices with colleagues from health either at the Princess Royal University Hospital or Orpington.
This role will involve weekend working and as an example would cover:
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday
Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Weekends can be remotely worked.
Role:
- Sourcing domcare support packages to enable people to go home from hospital where they have health and social care needs
- Receive referrals and assessments from social care for service users required services
- To make recommendations to the Social Worker/referrer on the most appropriate and best value options
- Undertake visits to providers for both individual service users and for general database records
Requirements
- Experience within sourcing placements for service users
- Understanding of the Care Standards and relevant legislation
- Experience of negotiating agreements or contracts
- Educated to a high level A levels as a minimum
