Sales Director

My client are a rapidly growing eCommerce operation who specialise in the distribution of products for consumer DIY, electricals, building tools & garden products.

Whilst this role will be heavily weight toward sales & distribution, the suited candidate will sit secondly to the Managing Director and handle almost all aspects of the business.

Candidates will need to be able to commit to a daily commute to Manchester.

Reporting to the Managing Director

The Role

  • Manage sales and cross functions of the business consisting of Sales, eCommerce, Supply Chain, Marketing and Distribution
  • Build core relationships with distribution partners
  • Obtain distribution rights from direct manufacturers
  • Responsibility for profit & loss across the business
  • Formulate future plans and identify growth opportunities
  • Grow distribution channels and increase sales profitability
  • Manage teams across all aspects of the business

The Candidate

  • Previous experience working as a Senior Leader (Head of Sales, Sales Director, Managing Director)
  • Previous experience working in a consumer DIY role - either as a merchant or a manufacturer
  • Strong experience with profit & loss
  • Key track record of increasing profitability
