A medium-sized firm near St. Albans is seeking a talented individual to join their dedicated team.
As a Senior Accountant with them, you'll play a pivotal role in managing a portfolio of medium-sized clients, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities:
- Oversee statutory accounts preparation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to clients, offering insights to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise processes and improve efficiency.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
Qualifications:
- ACCA or ACA Qualified
- Proven experience in an accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with QuickBooks and/or Xero is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the aptitude to build strong client relationships.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
