The day-to-day responsibilities include creating CNC CAD programs for various machines and assisting with stock maintenance and booking. The role involves interpreting engineering drawings, designing sheet metal profiles for bending and rolling, and coordinating with colleagues and customers on projects. Additionally, it requires checking both personal and team drawings for accuracy.
This role would suit a Graduate or Junior CAD Technician who is looking for an exciting and varied opportunity to work variety of projects and receive some training.
THE ROLE:
- Develop CNC CAD programs for various machines using SIGMA NEST/IGEMS and assist with stock management.
- Interpret engineering drawings and design sheet metal profiles for bending and rolling.
- Coordinate with colleagues and customers on projects while ensuring accuracy in all drawings
THE PERSON:
- Design background or HNC/HND educated
- Understanding on engineering drawings
- Commutable to Wigan
