Supply Chain Planner

Miles Recruitment are supporting a well-established organisation with their search for a Supply Chain Planner, to be located in the West Wiltshire area.

They are the largest supplier in their field and sustainability is important to them.

Due to a team promotion and as the company moves forwards with their operations, they require an additional Supply Chain Planner to add to the small and collaborative team.

As their new Supply Chain Planner, the role provides you with exposure across several other departments including Design, Procurement, Quality Control and Shipping.

Thus, communication is key and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders internally and of course externally is essential.

As Supply Chain Planner your remit will find you:

  • Scheduling purchase orders
  • Analysing stock flow
  • Supplier management
  • Building yearly campaigns and plans
  • Raising receipt notes
  • Maintaining availability of stock
  • Leading sales and operations planning meetings
  • Managing stock keeping units

Ideally you will bring your experience of analysing supply chain data to the team and support the Supply Chain Manager with graphical reporting to aid the department and wider business in terms of the supply chain, which does get impacted by significant peak periods and demand.

To thrive in the role of Supply Chain Planner with our client it is vital you have several years of relevant experience in the Supply Chain sector ideally having seen the supply chain cycle through from end to end.

Experience of seasonal peaks would be advantageous.

You will be highly IT literate and systems orientated especially with ERP/ MRP.

Excel experience is essential.

Proven ability to make buying decisions and to maintain accurate reporting is required.

It is a prime time to join the Supply Chain team with our client, as in the next few months they will build their purchasing plan for the next year ahead.

The role is a permanent one with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely. Start and finish times can be flexible around your commitments external to work.

An annual bonus is paid, 25 days holiday allowance with the option to purchase more and a competitive remuneration.
