Your new company is a prominent distributor of commercial machinery in South Wales that supports the UK's logistics sector.
Your new role
Your new role will be as the most senior person on the site working as the Finance Director. You will work closely with the company owners to ensure the company continues to grow,
Duties include:
- Comfortable being the most senior director at the site
- Company Secretary of trading companies.
- Responsible for period end close and monthly management accounts
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
- Enhance financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Cash flow management
- Lead the closure and preparation of year-end statutory accounts
- Oversee compliance with all statutory requirements
- Lead a small finance team and oversee departments
- Ensuring systems and processes are fit for purpose
- Manage external relationships
What you'll need to succeed
- Needing to be a hands-on Finance Director who has ideally worked in a similar industry
- Qualified accountant (CCAB, CIMA - ACA preferred)
- Ideally, previous distribution experience
