Our client is looking for an experienced Information Security Analyst to join their team on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract (with a strong chance of going permanent).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyse network and systems for suspicious activities and security breaches.
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents promptly and efficiently.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and arrange independent penetration testing.
  • Collaborate with the IT Team to implement remediation updates and mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and maintain IT security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and legal industry standards.
  • Conduct security awareness training for employees.
  • Stay updated with emerging security technologies and recommend improvements.

Key Skills Needed:

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, UKGDPR).
  • Tools: Proficiency in security tools and technologies (e.g., XDR, EDR, SIEM).
  • Experience: At least 3 years in a similar role with a bachelor's degree in computer science/Information Security or 5 years of industry experience.
  • Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or other relevant certifications.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent time management, communication skills, and a flexible, team-oriented approach.
