Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher to support the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Provide individualised attention and support to students with different learning needs, ensuring their academic progress and well-being.
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of teaching materials and resources.
  • Supervise and facilitate group activities and projects.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in their educational and personal development.
  • Provide feedback to teachers regarding student progress and development.
  • Collaborate with other members of the school community, including parents and external professionals, to ensure effective support for students.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent).
  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, preferably within a school setting.
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum and understanding of different learning styles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Empathy and patience in working with students with diverse needs and backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
