The successful candidate will be part of a team looking after all of the mechanical, electrical, Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) Controls, energy and sustainability installations, lifts, escalators and any other equipment on our clients operational estate.

You will be carrying out, but not limited to the following duties:

  • Providing technical advice and contract supervision on all matters relating to building services engineering installation maintenance and statutory compliance inspection, testing and repair functions across the operational property portfolio.
  • Supporting the Compliance Manager in their management role with particular regard to the development and implementation of building services engineering construction, maintenance and statutory compliance inspection, testing and repair.
  • Acting as an initial point of contact for building users and staff, by providing expertise and advice relating to building services engineering construction, installation, maintenance and statutory compliance inspection, testing and repairs.
  • Collating and completing weekly audit reports and input into contractor performance KPIs and contract management
  • Ensuring adherence to site standards and practices, including H&SWA, CDM Regulations etc.
  • Arranging for contract programmes to be prepared and to jointly monitor these with all relevant contractor/ installation disciplines.
  • Undertaking contract supervision and liaison work with external contractors and suppliers on day-to-day repairs, maintenance, inspections, etc.
  • Ensuring effective systems management of CAFM and associated equipment.
  • Supporting and advising FM Managers on relevant maintenance and statutory compliance inspection, testing and repair matters with regard to day-to-day repairs, cyclical maintenance and planned capital investment.

You should have experience of working in a building maintenance, statutory inspection, testing and repairs environment. You should have strong stakeholder management skills and previous experience of invoicing and budget management.

An HNC / HND in Building Services Engineering, equivalent or above is necessary for this role.
