Job Title: Wireman
Location: Across Scotland including Stonehouse, Erkshine and Edinburgh
Contract: Long term / on-going contract

As a Wireman specializing in substations, you will play a crucial role in the electrical systems' installation, maintenance, and repair within our high-voltage substations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Safely and efficiently install, terminate, and test power cables within the substation environment.
- Perform wiring and assembly of control panels, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards.
- Connect and test various electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and protection devices.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, working collaboratively with the team to minimize downtime.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of wiring activities, as-built drawings, and test results.
Require authorisation including:
- SPEN COMP (formerly WI-1)
- SPEN AWP 09 (formerly WL1.05/ WL 1.08)
- Valid first aid certificate
- Valid Safety Passport
