Global Financing and Credit Trading (GF&CT) sit within Fixed Income & Currencies (FIC). GF&CT combines the flow, structured and distressed businesses to provide a clients with a full range of credit expertise, including: market making in credit products, financing and risk solutions across all credit asset classes, and structuring, underwriting and syndication of a range of products for issuer clients. GF&CT enables clients such as pension funds, corporates, asset managers, financial institutions, and private loan market participants to meet their investment objectives and manage credit risk. GF&CT operates globally with major hubs in London, Frankfurt, New York, Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Sydney.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing new controls and workflow in relation to core GF&CT business activities. You will work closely and pro-actively with stakeholders across all GF&CT businesses as well as the Business Management and Control team and key control functions.

Your key responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for reviewing existing business process to identify key processes, optimise processes where possible (both documentation and workflow), work with tech leads to develop and implement key process in a workflow tool, enhance controls and establish a framework for escalation and oversight
  • Proactive engagement of stakeholders across Front Office and second line of defense to design and implement the workflow and controls described above
  • Frameworks/processes in scope include a wide range of business activity for example transaction booking processes, deal logging, and oversight of covenant modification and will cover a wide range of products including bonds, loans, derivatives, and repo

Your skills and experience

  • Previous investment banking experience, preferably with experience in audit, consulting, or process re-engineering
  • Understanding of the broader investment banking regulatory environment and market environment
  • Ability to work with a team and wide ranging stakeholders to achieve risk and commercially appropriate outcomes
