SEMI SKILLED FITTER
Permanent, full time position
Clow Group Ltd are a specialist manufacturer and supplier of access equipment solutions and also design, fabricate and maintain bespoke access solutions including gantries, gangways, walkways, fixed access ladders, safety line systems and roof access systems.
The company was established in 1913 and is one of the largest independently owned manufacturers of ladders, steps, access equipment and bespoke access solutions in the UK today.
Clow Group Ltd is based in Bridgeton, Glasgow and currently has a vacancy for a Semi Skilled Fitter for our busy Engineering/Fabrication business.
Work is predominantly in Scotland, however travel throughout the UK may be required from time to time
Position Details:-
The primary role is inspecting and installation of roof access equipment (man lines, vertical ladders and walkways, etc) and assisting in our busy workshop.
The successful applicant should have the following:-
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Be familiar with Working at Height and using access equipment
- Be competent at measuring, marking, cutting and drilling
- Have the ability to read and understand drawings
- Be confident in the use of power tools and associated equipment
- Hold a current CSCS card
- PTS would be advantageous, but not essential
- Be capable of problem solving and able to use own initiative
- Current clean driving licence
Hours of Work:
40 hours per week with good prospects for overtime
Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.50pm and on Fridays 8am to 3.30pm
All relevant training for this position will be provided
