Are you an experienced Bricklayer with a passion for supporting others? Do you have experience teaching or supporting apprentices?

We are seeking a dedicated Brick Lecturer to join our team at a leading educational institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and teaching on agreed programmes within the Technology department and contributing to their continued development.

  • Salary: £27,400- £39,100
  • Hours 8:45am - 5:00pm

Day to Day of the Role or a Bricklaying Tutor:

  • Plan and guide students through the learning process, including target setting, action planning, review, and progression.
  • Deliver learning, plan and undertake assessment on a range of programmes using various learning methods and activities, including new technologies.
  • Prepare essential documents such as assessment plans, schemes of work, lesson plans, teaching materials, individual learning plans, and assignments.
  • Act as a personal tutor and potentially as a Course/Subject Leader or Internal Verifier.
  • Promote high attendance, follow up on non-attenders, and maintain accurate records of students' retention, achievement, and attendance.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to planning, development, and review activities.
  • Provide an outstanding learning experience to students, maximising the use of ILT.
  • Contribute to Open Evenings, parents' evenings, and similar events as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications for the role of a Bricklaying Tutor :

  • Level 3 Qualification or above, with a willingness to work towards a full teaching qualification if not already obtained.
  • Level 3 trowel occupations or equivalent
  • Experience teaching levels 1 and 2
  • Experience in teaching and knowledge of current developments in the FE/Adult curriculum.
  • Competency in using technology for teaching, including voice conferencing (ideally via Microsoft Teams), and the ability to work in two different sites
  • Commitment to promoting equality and diversity and safeguarding
