The Role

As an IT Application Support Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of pension administration systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for providing top-notch support to internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first and second-line support for pension administration applications, resolving technical issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal performance with minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide technical support and training.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of incidents, service requests, and solutions.
  • Assist in the implementation and testing of system upgrades, patches, and new applications.
  • Work closely with the development team to identify and resolve software defects and enhance system functionality.
  • Participate in on-call support rotation to provide after-hours support when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Application Support Analyst or in a similar role, preferably within the financial services or pensions industry.
  • Strong knowledge of pension administration systems and related technologies.
  • Technical skills in Linux and UNIX
  • Proficiency in SQL, database management, and scripting languages.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with ITIL processes and principles is a plus.
