QUALITY ENGINEER - INSIDE IR35 - £30.10 PER HOUR - BROUGHTON, FLINTSHIRE - 12 MONTHS - 20% SHIFT UPLIFT (W/ OPTIONS OF 25/50% FOR PREMIUM OT HOURS) - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS

Yolk Recruitment are recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join our major client onsite over in Broughton on an initial 12 month deal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized quality support and advice on drawings, parts, processes, and support services, ensuring quality requirements are independently verified.
  • Ensure adherence to the quality system within the business through regular surveillance activities.
  • Oversee consistent application of certification processes within the business.
  • Coordinate and lead resolution of reported quality and technical issues from business teams and customers, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are taken and communicated effectively using multifunctional team activities.
  • Perform initial investigations (e.g., Events, QLB's, NC's) to determine probable root causes, notify the responsible function, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented promptly (preferably within one shift) using problem-solving analysis with multifunctional team activities.
  • Conduct investigations to determine the root cause of deficiencies noted during process confirmation activities, notify the responsible function, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are taken.
  • Compile and present quality overviews to the leadership team within the business area.

Required Skillset:

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with problem-solving tools (e.g., PPS, 5Y, Ishikawa).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to challenge appropriately while maintaining strong relationships.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, including interpreting data sets and graphical data to draw conclusions.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an integrated team, including operational and cross-functional team members.
  • Background in quality or engineering within a major manufacturing industry (desirable).
