Robert Half is currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant based in Solihull, to join a growing international company.
This role is ideal for someone in the early stages of their accounting career. If you've gained at least 12 months experience in a purchase ledger or finance assistant role and are ready to take the next step into management accounts, this opportunity could be perfect for you.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and submitting accurate financial reports to management
- Performing monthly account reconciliations
- Processing income statements, balance sheets, and other management reports
- Assisting with information requests from regulatory organisations
- Ensuring department policies and procedures are up to date
- Supporting internal and external audits for the UK and Dubai
- Collaborating with internal and external auditors
- Assisting with reporting
- Preparing and submitting quarterly SOX reports
- Preparing statutory accounts within internal deadlines
- Maintaining monthly tax pack reporting
- Performing ad hoc duties as requested by management
Skills and Competencies:
- AAT qualified or equivalent, or experience in a similar role
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- Self-motivated and able to work independently to high standards
- Calm under pressure
- Strong numeracy and attention to detail
- Good analytical skills
- Commercial and customer-focused approach, able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Adaptable to changes in systems and processes, while ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Professional, ethical, and able to uphold social and professional standards
