A highly sought-after opportunity to work with an independent, family-owned building company and refurb specialist that operates across the UK. My client has a reputation of being a very high quality construction company with extensive experience of updating schools, hospitals and social housing, as well as building and transforming pubs, clubs, restaurants, offices, hotels and shops into stunning, high performing outlets. They also have a local authority and public sector arm too.

The Duties

  • Maintain our excellent client relationships.
  • Deliver multiple projects on time, within budget and to the Client's satisfaction.
  • Take full ownership of multiple project budgets and report financial performance of projects to the senior team.
  • Manage the technical & commercial contractual agreements throughout the project.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Develop project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Produce, negotiate, and agree all valuations and variations.
  • Produce on site written instructions and ensure the company is commercially and contractually free from risk.
  • Ensure all necessary VO's and EOTs are signed and recorded.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Assist with tender bids and estimating.
  • Maintain accurate room availability records throughout the duration of projects.
  • Ensure all works are signed off as complete.
  • Ensure accurate records are kept of all project works, snags, damage etc to protect the company commercially.
  • Travel as required to visit live projects and clients.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of projects and the Company.
  • Lead project Health and Safety.
  • Implement, monitor, and amend all necessary site method statements & risk assessments, ensuring that all necessary SHEQ procedures are implemented and adhered to for all site operatives and sub-contractors.

The Requirements

  • Previous Contract Management experience working on (preferably) Hospitality and Leisure fit outs.
  • Valid CSCS
  • Detailed knowledge of construction methods and technology
  • Strong people management skills
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Ability to plan and programme construction projects.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • IT literate.
