We provide specialist metal finishing services - such as electroplating and anodising - for various industries across the UK and Europe.
We have grown to service a broad customer base and provide our services locally, nationally and even internationally to companies ranging in size from the SME to large multinationals.
Now we are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Production Operations Manager to join our team and to assist us in our mission of further development and growth.
The Production Operations Manager Opportunity:
As Production Operations Manager, you will occupy a pivotal role within the business that involves setting the pace for the organisation, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and driving the team to achieve excellence. Leading your team, you will be a cornerstone of the company's leadership, offering strategic direction, fostering a productive work environment, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality parts to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Managing the production teams and deploying resource accordingly
+ Building relationships with existing/new customers
+ Developing a pricing strategy to drive strong growth
+ Improving processes to ensure quality and on-time delivery
About you:
+ Previous production experience, ideally from reactive industries such as machining, paint, plating or coatings
+ Able to read technical drawings
+ Track record of operating in smaller businesses with resource constraints
+ Good mix of production, commercial and financial awareness
+ A "think on your feet" ideas type person with strong shop floor presence
+ Resilient, energetic, focused
+ Flexible, progressive approach to team management and variable demands
