Construction and Project Administrator

Your new company:
Cocksedge is an award-winning Building Contractor, with in-house building services and joinery departments, operating throughout East Anglia. We deliver high quality projects across the Education, Commercial, Healthcare and Residential Sectors.

Your new role:

  • Answer telephone calls coming into the main office number.
  • Management of all incoming and outgoing posts.
  • Responsible for ordering stationery and all other office consumables.
  • Managing the stock and ordering company-branded work clothes.
  • Responsible for the company email inbox.
  • Be the main point of contact for company equipment such as laptops and mobile phones. This will include setting up laptops with our IT remote support.
  • Authorised signatory for approving costs associated with role.
  • One of the designated contacts with our brokers for registering and dealing with any insurance claims, whether they are fleet related or not.
  • Various other tasks to ensure the smooth running of the office.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A self-starter and the ability to use your own initiative is an essential requirement for this position as well as working effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise your own workload, deal with conflicting demands and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to show tact and discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Always maintain confidentiality regarding client, supplier and employee information.
  • Excellent verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • A flexible approach to working and multitasking.
  • A good level of IT skills.
  • Previous experience of working in the construction industry is required.

What you'll get in return

  • £24,500 - £27,000 per year, subject to experience and hours

  • Monday to Friday, ideally 40 hours per week.
