We are seeking a dedicated Credit Controller to join our expanding client and support the Finance Partner in managing credit control and ensuring accurate administration and consistent implementation of policies. This role is central to the firm, requiring a professional with a strong background in credit control and a commitment to maintaining excellent client relationships.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Proactively manage credit control across the firm, ensuring maximum cash collection daily.
  • Issue statements to clients, follow up with reminders and phone calls in line with the firm's credit control policy.
  • Handle card payments from clients and manage postings on the case management system.
  • Resolve queries and disputes related to invoices, payments, and credit terms.
  • Negotiate payment plans and methods with clients as necessary.
  • Initiate legal actions and refer to the internal debt collection department if required.
  • Report on the status and performance of the accounts receivable ledger to the Finance Partner.
  • Review and update the company's credit policies and procedures.
  • Maintain good relationships and communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and distribute Work-In-Progress reports to assist in the management of WIP lockup and actioning of WIP write-offs.
  • Collaborate with the firm's Billing Team and Accounts Department.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Dedicated credit control experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong and confident communication and negotiation skills.
